OMG, this has been a little bit of hell on earth and checking my favorite expat blogs is not helping. Today, I checked out one of my faves, http://oneika-the-traveller.blogspot.com/2010/07/berlin_20.html and I almost died as she wrote about her fantastic weekend in Berlin. It brought back bittersweet memories of my time in Berlin with an awesome friend and traveling to Halle for grass court tennis. While there was no Fed, there was plenty of linesmen in suits, beer & sausages, and some pretty cool tennis :). I even met a fellow tennis head.
Leggs in Washington, DC is just around the corner and I cannot wait for the sun, even though my friends tell me DC is plain miserable with its humidity. I DON”T CARE! I’m eager to see if I’m still interested in anything Verdasco is doing on the court and to check out a small, local tourney just paces from my friends’ home!
Ah, life has been about long days with very little cash/satisfaction to show for it. Luckily, jaunting begins soon as I take the next few days to trek to Comic Con, finish off work after that, and head on a jet plane far away from here. You know over there is always better than right here 🙂
