Staying with a friend is a great benefit but definitely check out public transportation options. While it was great to have a free place to stay, leaving earlier than I wanted to avoid the late night walk home afterwards was a bit disappointing.

Try to eat only one main meal at the site as the food is pretty expensive. Bring your own snacks.

Chatting with my seat companion (an old coach) proved to be a great way to attend to strategy – is the player serving to BH? FH? What are each player’s strengths & weaknesses? What does the surface mean to each player? *failed to recognize that Rafa was really struggling in his match vs Stan.

Need to try to understand Andy Murray even though I have a viseral dislike for his on-court presence.
