Finally a club I can belong to…

Posted on January 11, 2009October 8, 2013 by Agallivant

I’m not really a joiner. In college I contemplated joining a sorority, even had a few in-depth conversations with members over dinner but something in me just recoiled at the thought of taking the final step. In the end, I joined a co-ed fraternity; it gave me just the right blend of a sense of belonging without the heavy social obligations.

Today, I’ve found another club to join, the United States Tennis Association. They sent an email update announcing that USTA members have pre-order status for Davis Cup tickets and I didn’t even hesitate. I promptly joined the organization and then settled on my hotel reservations for the Howard Johnson in Birmingham.
