Miami, Here I Come

Posted on March 26, 2009December 5, 2014 by Agallivant

Miami has been secured and I don’t even know how it all worked out. Once I decided that Miami was going to happen, it was all I could think about throughout the day. Priceline came in handy again and I was able to get a round trip ticket to Ft. Lauderdale for a reasonable $322 leaving March 22 with a return on Thursday, April 2nd.

Next up, I had to secure a place to stay but I couldn’t do a hotel because I had only budgeted $500 for this trip. So, desperation leads to inspiration: I posted a request on Facebook for a bed, sofa, heck, a floor for me to sleep on in Miami. Within a week, a friend’s mom hooked me up with a buddy in Miami and viola, I have a place to stay.

Hopefully, I can keep the local travel & food modestly priced, so that my money can be spent on tennis tickets. I’ve learned my lesson from IW; I’m gonna wait for the OOP before I purchase my tickets.
